Aloha is inseparably connected to Hawaii. You cannot think of aloha without thinking of Hawaii and vice versa. Take any bus tour, attend any luau and you will get your fill of aloooooooha’s. I wonder though, does this word deserve a bit more reverence?

There are a few different creation chants but I will focus on the Kumulipo which is translated as “beginning in deep darkness.”

Just a few things to prevent you from looking or sounding like a silly tourist, haole or typical mainlander while on vacation in Hawaii.

I have never lived in an area with so many amazing hikes only a short distance away. O’ahu, at it’s greatest, is only forty-four miles long and thirty miles across and there are hundreds of hikes on this island.

Take a drive on O’ahu’s north shore and you will undoubtedly see a bumper sticker that reads “Eddie would go”. So what does it mean?
